A name with extra words is the most common reason Google suspends a profile. Type the name as it shows on Google. This runs on this page only.
What Google usually flags
Google does not always say which one applies. These are what it usually flags:
- A business name with extra keywords, a tagline or a city added to your real name.
- An address that is not a real, staffed place, such as a PO box or a virtual office.
- A category, hours or website that do not match the real business.
- A recent change to the name, address or category, or a profile that looks like a duplicate of another.
Evidence checklist (0 of 7 ready)
Tick what you have. Google asks you to show the business is real, at that address.
Your ticks are saved on this device only. We never see them.
Appeal note to copy
Fill in the blanks and copy the note into Google’s form. It is a template, not a promise.
Google decides every case and gives no timeline. A good note and clear proof help, but nobody can promise the result.
How to appeal
- Open your Business Profile on Google and read the notice. It names the guideline Google says was broken.
- Fix what the notice points to on Google first, for example the name, address or category.
- Gather proof that the business is real: a photo of the storefront with its sign, a utility bill or license showing the name and address, and photos inside.
- Send Google’s reinstatement request form.
- Wait for Google’s email. Google decides every case, so we cannot speed it up or promise the result.
