GBP Tools Terms of Service

Effective: November 1, 2026
Version: 2026-11-01

In short

This summary isn't part of the Terms; the sections below are.

  • One plan, priced per location, billed monthly from the day you start. No trial and no minimum term.
  • Your plan renews every month until you cancel. Cancel in Billing any time; you keep access to the end of the month you paid for. We don't refund the current month.
  • GBP Tools is designed to change your Google profile only when you approve something, or through an automatic feature or posting setting you turn on (section 6.3). If GMB Gorilla manages your profile, section 18 explains how that works.
  • To delete your account and data, email support@gbptools.com.
  • Google decides rankings, reviews and suspensions. We don't promise results.

1. Who we are and what this covers

These Terms are an agreement between you and Pitch + Pivot, LLC, 640 Ellicott St, Buffalo, NY 14203 ("we", "us"). We do business as GMB Gorilla and run GBP Tools. These Terms cover the GBP Tools app, the free name check, the free profile check, the suspended-listing tools and our public website (together, the "Service").

You accept these Terms when you tick the box to agree to them. If you use a free tool, you accept them by running it after seeing the notice that links to them. If you use the Service for a company, or for clients as an agency, you confirm you can bind that company and you accept these Terms for it. "You" then means that company.

If GMB Gorilla manages your profile for you (a "managed" account), section 18 explains how that works and takes priority over section 6.3 where they differ. The rest of these Terms apply too, except sections 4 and 5: your price and payment are set by your order with us. If GMB Gorilla manages your profile, you accept these Terms by ordering the managed service or by continuing to use it after we send them to you.

The Service is for businesses based in the United States or in Canada outside Quebec, and for people acting for them. You can't add a location in Quebec. The Service is not for personal or household use: by starting a plan you confirm you are buying for a business. You must be 18 or older.

2. What the Service does

With your permission, GBP Tools:

  • reads your Google Business Profile, reviews and performance data;
  • scores the profile and lists what to fix;
  • drafts profile changes, posts and review replies;
  • tracks where you rank on Google Maps (a "rank map");
  • sends reports and alerts.

It changes your Google profile only as section 6.3 says. A "location" is one Google Business Profile in your account.

Google Business Profile itself is free from Google. You pay us for GBP Tools, not for your Google profile. GBP Tools is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Google. Google and Google Business Profile are trademarks of Google LLC. Google explains what to expect from companies like us in its policies on working with a third party.

We don't control Google. Google decides rankings, reviews, verification and suspensions, and can change its products, rules and API access at any time. Features that depend on Google can change or stop if Google changes them. We don't promise any result on Google, including higher rankings, more calls or a reinstated listing.

3. Your account

  • Give accurate information, keep your login secure and don't share it. Invite teammates from the Team page instead. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what your teammates do.
  • Tell us at support@gbptools.com if you think someone got into your account.
  • Staff access. Our staff (our employees and contractors) see the data in a self-serve account, whether in the app, in our staff tools or in our database, only: (a) with the permission of someone on that account, for specific help they asked for; (b) for security, including investigating abuse or a bug; (c) to comply with the law; or (d) as statistics combined across accounts that don't identify anyone, for internal operations. We log staff access to self-serve accounts in the app. For a managed account, our team also works in your account to do the work you hired us for (section 18).

4. Price and payment

4.1 Price. One plan with everything included, charged per location per month, in US dollars. Each location is charged at the price of the bracket it falls in, and the brackets stack:

LocationsEach location, per month
1 to 3$39
4 to 10$36
11 to 25$32
26 and up$28

For example, 10 locations cost $369 a month. An agency pays this price on the total number of active locations (locations turned on in your account) across all of its clients, on one bill. The pricing page shows what each location includes. Each plan has usage limits, such as rank maps and posts per location each month, a daily limit on AI reply drafts and a monthly limit on other AI work. The pricing page and the app show them. Monthly limits reset when each calendar month starts (UTC time); daily limits reset each day.

4.2 No trial; the free profile check. New plans have no free trial. Before you pay, you can connect Google and run the free profile check on up to 3 locations per account (for an agency, 3 in total across all clients). It shows your score and what to fix, and changes nothing on Google. If you don't start a plan, we delete the content we copied from Google within 30 days after your last free profile check. If no one signs in to a single business's account for 12 months, we delete the account, and we email the account owner 30 days before. The Service is designed to change nothing on your Google profile until your plan starts.

4.3 Billing and automatic renewal. Your plan renews automatically every month until you cancel. Your first charge is on the day you start your plan, then every month on that date (or the last day of a shorter month), at the monthly price for your active locations plus taxes. You can cancel online at any time in Billing (section 5.1). Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number. You authorize us to charge your payment method for the plan, for added locations and for taxes until you cancel.

4.4 Adding and removing locations. You pay for the active locations in your account. If you add a location beyond the number you pay for, we show you the new monthly price first and add it only when you confirm. For the rest of the current month you pay only for the days left, added to your next bill. When you remove a location, we credit the unused days to your next bill. Credits apply to later bills and aren't paid out in cash.

4.5 Taxes. Prices don't include sales tax, GST, HST, PST or similar taxes. Where we are required to collect them, we add them to your bill.

4.6 Price changes. We can change the price by emailing you 30 days before the change. The email will say how to cancel. The new price applies from your first bill after those 30 days. If you don't want it, cancel before then.

5. Cancelling, refunds and deleting

5.1 Cancelling. There is no minimum term or long-term contract. Your plan runs month to month until you cancel. You can cancel online any time in Billing. Cancelling stops the next charge. You keep full access to the end of the month you have paid for, and that month is not refunded. After that we stop checking your profiles and making changes on Google, and we delete the content we copied from Google within 30 days after your plan ends. Your account settings and approval history stay, so you can start again. An agency account is deleted when you ask us (section 5.4). A single business's account is deleted 12 months after its plan ends, and we email the account owner 30 days before we do. The Privacy Policy, section 6, has the details.

5.2 Refunds. We don't refund payments, including for the month you cancel in. We do refund: when the law requires it; when we charged you by mistake (for example, two plans on one account: we cancel the extra one and refund it); when we stop offering the whole Service (section 16); and for the rest of the month when you cancel after objecting to a new sub-processor (Data Processing Addendum, section 5.3).

5.3 When a payment fails. If a payment fails, we email you and Stripe tries again over the following days. The Service keeps running while it retries. If the payment still fails after Stripe's retries, your plan is cancelled that day: posts, reports, alerts and changes to Google stop, and the deletion rules in section 5.1 run from that day. You can start a new plan in Billing.

5.4 Deleting your account. To delete your account, email support@gbptools.com from the account owner's address. Before we delete it, we'll confirm with you that you want to end your plan now. Deleting cancels your plan at once, with no refund for the current month; to keep access to the end of the month, cancel instead (section 5.1). We disconnect your Google login and delete your account data, including stored files such as photos, report PDFs and logos, within 30 days, apart from billing records we must keep and backups until they expire. Backups are overwritten within 30 days (Privacy Policy, section 6). Deleting can't be undone. If you want a copy of your data, ask us for one first.

5.5 What stays on Google. Changes, posts and replies already published to Google stay there after you cancel or delete. We don't undo them.

6. Your Google profiles

6.1 Authority. Only connect profiles your business owns, or profiles you are allowed to manage for the business that owns them. If you manage a profile for another business, including as an agency, you confirm that the business has allowed you to connect it to GBP Tools and to let us act on it the way you set up. That permission must be express and in writing (verbal is not enough), and it must cover each automatic feature you turn on for that business. If that permission ends, disconnect the profile. We may ask you to show the permission.

6.2 Your Google permission. You connect Google through Google's own sign-in; we never see your Google password. You can disconnect in Settings, or remove our access in your Google account. The Service then stops working on those profiles. If you disconnect in Settings, we revoke and delete the stored access tokens, unless the same Google login is still connected to another account you have with us. If you remove our access in your Google account, we stop using it, and delete the stored access tokens within 30 days after Google refuses them or after your plan ends. Either way, we delete the content we copied from Google within 30 days after the connection ends. For a managed account, section 18 applies instead.

6.3 What we change, and when. The Service is designed so that nothing changes on your Google profile unless you approve it, or turn on an automatic feature or the planned-date setting below. It changes your Google profile only when:

  • you approve a post or a reply, as written or after editing it;
  • you approve a profile change and have turned on feature (a) below;
  • an automatic feature you turned on does its job; or
  • a post goes out on its planned date because you chose that setting.

When you set up your account, you choose each of these automatic features separately. They are designed not to act on Google until your plan starts (section 4.2):

  • (a) send the profile changes you approve to Google. Without it, an approved change isn't sent; you make it on Google yourself;
  • (b) write a set of posts for you each month. Each one publishes only when you approve it, or on its planned date if you chose that setting below;
  • (c) reply automatically to 4 and 5 star reviews.

Each is off until you turn it on. You can turn each one off at any time in Settings.

Posts wait for your approval by default. If you set a location's posts to go out on their planned date, they publish then even if you haven't answered. You can change this in Settings. This setting isn't available for a location an agency manages for a client: those posts always wait for approval.

Automatic replies go only to 4 and 5 star reviews, and only when the reply passes our checks. They are turned off for businesses we identify as law or health care, which approve every reply. The Service doesn't reply to a 1, 2 or 3 star review without you. If your business is in law or health care and we haven't identified it as such, don't turn on automatic replies.

We don't send profile changes to a profile Google shows as unverified or suspended until Google clears it. Posts and replies are not held. The Service doesn't automatically undo changes Google makes to your profile.

If the Service ever changes something on Google that you didn't approve or set up, tell us. We'll help put it right and tell you what happened, and you won't owe us anything under section 15 (Indemnity) for it.

6.4 You are responsible for your profile. That includes content we draft that you approve or let publish automatically. Check it. You are responsible for it being accurate and lawful and for following Google's rules, including the Google Business Profile terms and policies. If Google suspends, restricts or edits your profile, that is between you and Google. The plan includes the free suspended-listing tools. GMB Gorilla's team also handles reinstatement requests as a separate service, and nobody can promise Google's decision.

6.5 Asking someone else for access. If someone else manages your profile, you can ask them through the Service to share it with your account. Only ask a person who can give that access. They choose which profiles to share and can remove access at any time; changes already made stay on Google. What they share can then be changed the same way as your own profiles, under section 6.3, including by automatic features you turned on. You must not use this to get access to a profile you are not allowed to manage.

7. Acceptable use

You will not use the Service to:

  • connect or manage a profile you are not allowed to manage, or attack a competitor's profile;
  • post fake, paid-for or incentivised reviews, or replies, posts or profile details that are false, misleading, unlawful, harassing, hateful or that infringe someone's rights;
  • break Google's terms or policies, including keyword stuffing, fake or duplicate locations, or anything Google treats as manipulating its results;
  • send spam, or email people through the Service who haven't agreed to hear from you;
  • get around plan limits, location counts or the limits on the free name check and the free profile check, including by opening extra accounts;
  • copy, scrape, resell or reverse engineer the Service, except as these Terms allow;
  • test our security, overload the Service, or interfere with it, without our written permission;
  • do anything that leads Google to restrict our access to its APIs.

We can remove content, pause automatic features or suspend an account straight away, without refund, if we reasonably believe it breaks this section or puts our Google access at risk. We'll tell you why when we can.

8. AI-written content

The Service uses AI models to draft posts, review replies, profile text, recommendations and report summaries. AI can be wrong. It can state things about your business that aren't true, miss context, or sound off. Treat every draft as a draft: you are responsible for reviewing it, and for anything that publishes because you turned on an automatic feature. We check drafts against your rules and for things like promises and private details, but those checks can miss things. Don't rely on AI drafts for legal, medical, financial or other regulated statements.

If you are a health care business, don't approve a reply that confirms someone is your patient or mentions their care. We don't sign business associate agreements under HIPAA. Don't put patient information into the Service beyond what already appears in your public reviews.

Between you and us, you own the content you give us and the drafts we make for you, subject to other people's rights. We don't use your Google data to train AI models. Under their API terms, Anthropic and OpenAI, which draft for us, don't train their models on what we send (Privacy Policy, section 8).

9. Your data and our Service

9.1 Your data. You keep your rights in your business information, content and Google data ("Your Data"). You give us permission to store, process and display Your Data only to provide, secure and support the Service, to create statistics that can't identify any customer or person, and to improve the Service using data that can't identify any customer or person, as the Privacy Policy describes. Where Your Data includes personal information, we process it for you under the Data Processing Addendum, which is part of these Terms.

9.2 Our Service. We own the Service, including its software, design, checks and recommendations. We may create statistics that can't identify any customer or person, and use them to run and improve GBP Tools. Statistics from Google user data are used only as the Privacy Policy, section 4.3, allows. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your account is open and paid up.

9.3 Feedback. If you send us ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

9.4 Security. We use safeguards designed to protect Your Data, including encrypting your Google access at rest. If we confirm a breach affecting Your Data, we'll tell you without undue delay. For a breach of personal information, we'll also tell you within 72 hours after we confirm the breach, as section 7 of the Data Processing Addendum says.

10. Agencies

If you use the Service for clients:

  • you are responsible to your clients for your work and your account, and for having each client's permission under section 6.1;
  • you follow Google's policies for third parties that manage a Business Profile, including telling each client in writing, before you manage their profile, that Google Business Profile is free from Google, and letting a client take back control within 7 business days of asking;
  • if a client doesn't answer an approval email, we don't treat that as approval: the item waits until the client or you approve it;
  • the Service emails each client a daily notice of changes made to their Google profile, on days with changes. You keep it accurate by making changes through the Service;
  • if your account has agency branding turned on, you can send approvals and reports to your clients under your own name and branding. Make sure what you send in your name is accurate, and that your clients may receive it;
  • approval and report emails carry your name and our postal address, 640 Ellicott St, Buffalo, NY 14203, and contain no advertising. Stop sending them to a contact who asks you to;
  • you are responsible for the client contacts you add, and for removing clients and people who should no longer have access. Removing a client deletes that client's data within 7 days (Data Processing Addendum, section 8).

11. Free tools

The free name check uses public listing data from a third-party provider and shows estimates. The suspended-listing tools also use public data. The free profile check scores the profiles you connect, for up to 3 locations per account (section 4.2). All of them are provided as is, can be limited (for example, a number of name checks per day from one internet address), and can change or stop at any time.

12. Availability and support

We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error free. Maintenance happens, and so do outages at Google or our providers. Support is by email at support@gbptools.com; we don't promise a reply time.

13. Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", and we disclaim all warranties not stated in these Terms, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Rank maps, scores and estimates come from sampled third-party data and can differ from what a given customer sees. Nothing in the Service is legal advice.

14. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • neither of us is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, even if told they might happen;
  • our total liability for all claims about the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that led to the claim and (b) $100.

These limits don't apply to: amounts you owe us; your obligations under section 15; either party's gross negligence, fraud or wilful misconduct; or liability the law doesn't allow us to limit. The cap in this section also doesn't apply to your breach of section 7.

15. Indemnity

If someone else makes a claim against us because of (a) content you approved or let publish through the Service, (b) a profile you connected without permission, or (c) your breach of section 6 or 7, you will defend us and pay the costs and damages that result. This doesn't cover content we published by mistake or contrary to your settings, or claims caused by our breach of these Terms. We'll tell you about the claim promptly, let you control the defence, and help where we reasonably can, at your cost. You can't settle a claim in a way that admits fault for us or binds us to do something without our consent.

16. Suspension and ending these Terms

We can suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if your plan is cancelled for a failed payment, if Google stops our access, or if the law requires it. We can stop offering the Service, or part of it, with at least 30 days' notice. If we stop the whole Service, we'll refund what you prepaid for the time we no longer provide it. Sections 4 and 5 (for amounts owed and for deletion), 6.4, 8, 9, 10 (for data we still hold) and 13 to 17 continue after these Terms end.

17. General

  • Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms. We'll post each new version with its date, and keep earlier versions published at their own web address. For changes that reduce your rights or raise what you pay, we'll email the account owner and show a notice in the app at least 30 days before they apply. For a managed account, we email your contacts instead. Other changes apply when we post them. Changes don't apply to a dispute that began before they took effect. If you don't agree to a change, cancel before it applies; if you keep using the Service after that, the new Terms apply. For a big change we may also ask you to accept the new Terms in the app before you continue.
  • Governing law and courts. New York law governs these Terms, without its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts for Erie County, New York, and we both accept their jurisdiction. Either of us may ask any court for urgent relief to protect our rights. This doesn't take away rights your local law gives you that can't be waived.
  • Whole agreement. These Terms and the Data Processing Addendum are the whole agreement about the Service. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information; it is not part of this agreement, except where these Terms point to it for a specific promise. If these Terms and the Data Processing Addendum conflict, the Addendum controls for personal information.
  • Assignment. You can't transfer these Terms without our consent. We can transfer them to a company that takes over the Service. Google user data moves to that company only as the Privacy Policy, section 4.3, says.
  • Other. If part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term isn't a waiver. Neither of us is liable for delays caused by events outside reasonable control, including Google outages. We send notices to the account owner's email; send yours to support@gbptools.com.
  • Contact. Pitch + Pivot, LLC, 640 Ellicott St, Buffalo, NY 14203, support@gbptools.com.

18. Managed accounts

This section applies if you hire GMB Gorilla to manage your Google Business Profile for you.

  • What you authorize. By giving our team access to your profile and ordering the managed service, you authorize us to manage the profile for you through GBP Tools: update its details, add photos, publish posts and reply to reviews, as your order describes.
  • Approvals. We send you posts and suggested profile changes to review before they go live, unless we've agreed with you that posts go out without review. Posts you don't answer by the date in the email go live on their planned date, unless you've asked us to wait for your approval. Profile changes wait for your answer. Reply to the email or use its link to change or stop anything, at any time before it goes live. Review replies are written or checked by our team before they post, unless we've agreed with you that some post automatically; we never reply to a 1, 2 or 3 star review without a person checking it.
  • Our team in your account. Our staff work in your account to do this work, and otherwise see your data only for security or as the law requires (Privacy Policy, section 5).
  • What we tell you. You get the approval emails and a monthly report if your plan includes one.
  • Stopping something. Tell us at support@gbptools.com or reply to any of our emails to stop a post, an automatic reply or a change, or to have us review everything with you first.
  • When the service ends. We stop working on your profile when your order ends, and remove our access to it on Google within 7 business days of your request (or you can remove it yourself in Google). We keep your account and history so the service can restart, and delete them within 30 days after you ask.
  • Price and payment. Set by your order with us, not by sections 4 and 5.
